"Fun!" "Fun!" "Fun!"

Thank you to all our young coders who joined us for our Autumn School Holiday Program!

"Fun!", "Fun!" & "Fun!" was the most popular feedback given by our young coders when asked how they enjoyed their Sphero Bolt and RVR (with an introduction to drones) school holiday program and we were excited to have them join us!

During the 2 hour session our young coders where engaged in block-coding a Sphero Bolt to play a game of ten-pin bowling and create a three-frame animation, as well as block-coding a Sphero RVR to complete a SPHERO race. Whilst that was all fun and games to them, our young coders were applying the following skills:

• STREAM skills of creative design, measurement, speed, estimation of distance and the reading, recording and interpretation of data

• Digital literacy skills of coding, programming and computational thinking

• 21st century skills of critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication

At the end of each session, our young coders were required to reflect on their learning against the session's success criteria and were awarded a certificate of participation. Congratulations and well done to all our young coders!
